But here it is in a nutshell. Urban Outfitters (owns Anthropologie and Free People) moved their headquarters-and all 600 employees -to Philadelphia's decommisioned navy yard with the help of MS&R Architects. Great old buildings, very industrial. And they did it all with a great environmental story-using original wood floors and materials instead of building new. They really embraced what was already there, put their own stamp on it, and it turned out beautifully. Here are photos from Metropolis.
