I have this journal from my summer working in London. If there was ever a fire, that would be one of my top 5 items to get out - completely irreplaceable. I was religious about writing every day - and totally captured some amazing memories. I completely plan on handing it over to my granddaughter some day and letting her in on all of my secrets. A summer full of drama, innocent crushes, amazing travel, insane roommates/neighbors and one of the most romantic stories I can claim. The amount of stuff crammed into those 3 months still gets me.
So today I had this idea to start writing the journal out - in a blog. Just to have a record of it, and who knows- it might be entertaining.
I started the new blog, grabbed the journal to get started, read the first few pages...
And wondered if some secrets are just better left to myself :)

I know it's nice to pick up and read once and a while, but this special thing seems like something that should maybe go in a safe deposit box...for safe keeping. :)
Wow, we did exactly the same thing! I was going to start a blog annonymously of my 14 journals over the years. And then after seeing it in print right in front of me, I was a little scared to send it out. Haven't decided if I'm going to do it yet or not!
We should start a blog of journal entries together and get others to participate! Then we can all do it together. We shall call it...the Tattered Page Confessions. :)
How sweet to have that journal, and I love the idea of one day giving it to a granddaughter! I would have loved to have something like that from my grandmothers!
