Just found out about a supposedly fabulous vintage clothing store here in KC. New mission for this weekend.
I have great ambitions for vintage/thrift shopping until I get in the stores. And then everything looks like halloween costumes - not the adorable items I see on some great fashion blogs. My last vintage shopping outing ended up with me purchasing a fabulous pair of black heels...at Banana Republic.
I need some good hunting tips...

LuLu's at 6017 Johnson Drive. It's nice, and the clothes would look great on you (not so much so for a short squaty woman like me). Also in that area are Encore Too at 5903 Woodson Rd, Uptown Monkey at 5907 Woodson Rd and Halfy's Thrift Boutique at 5917 Johnson Drive. I haven't been to the last three, so you'll have to let me know what they are like if you end up going!
dude. i am so with you. it is all dirty and messy. i usually just want to run to the jewelry display case, as i am so impatient and don't want to look through tons of racks of old stinky stuff. boo.
