the darling room

I had my haircut today at my favorite place in Kansas City, The Darling Room. I looove the Darling Room. So much that I typically like to show up to my appointments early just so I can hang out enjoying the space and read their amazing collection of art and fashion magazines. Snapped a few shots while I waited today - seriously the cutest interior. Very funky/girly/vintage. Check out the lampshade made of an old hoop skirt! If you're looking for a fabulous (and talented) spot, definitely check them out :)
.
in case you're interested this was my inspiration photo for my snip!

If all hair salons were like this I'd go more often rather than let my friend cut my hair...having said that if I found a salon like this in London, they'd probably charge a packet so I'd still have to give it a miss! xxx

Love your inspiration photo!!! Will you post photos? I'm going through a hair transformation myself, but I'm kind of in between stylists.

I know everyone that goes to the DR LOVES it!

That place looks great. I go to a similar place with a lot of character like that!

woooah - I'd like to get my haircut there! I usually go to very tiny, unknown hair places because it's $20 for a wash & cute & they style it for me (total bargain hunter!).

But for this place I'd be happy to pay up, looks so nice!

Oh my gosh, that might be the most adorable salon I've ever seen (I like modern and all, but it is nice to see a salon that feels so homey.)
