once upon a time

Once upon a time, there was a tree farmer and a little girl.
The tree farmer tried to teach the girl all about trees and
wood and logs and cuts and color and grain.
But the little girl didn't want to listen.
"When will I ever need to know this stuff?" she asked.
.
Well, now the little girl is grown up and needs to know about wood.
Somewhere, the tree farmer laughs and says "told you so."
And the little girl laughs and says "touché, tree farmer, touché."

Funny how things come full circle :)

Ha- I can imagine being that little girl; not sure I would have had the patience to learn about wood then, but man would I love to learn from a tree farmer now!
