my holiday rules

I have strict rules when it comes to the holidays.

Rule #1: The Christmas season starts after Thanksgiving. Before Thanksgiving I will not acknowledge that Christmas is approaching. No decorations, no jolly jingles, no shopping for gifts. 25 days is plenty to get me in the spirit. I am a scrooge.

Rule #2: When Thanksgiving has come and gone, its time. To kick of my holiday cheer I must listen to one important song. And then the rest of the album many times on repeat. But every year the first time I hear this song it makes me absolutely giddy.

So Sunday I had the honorary playing-of-Sarah-song time. And the holidays have arrived! Any similar traditions?

Thank you!!! I'm very particular about Christmas being AFTER Thanksgiving! Apparently, everything (everything being Christmas decorations & my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree) gets picked over at the stores after Thanksgiving.

I'm pretty sure that if I didn't watch any Christmas movies around Christmas time, that not only would I not understand Christmas but it may not come at all.
Tradition, oh yeah.

That's a good song.
