shoes + explanations

.
I am pining over these. I'm not sure which pair I'm in love with more. Both from Coach (I honestly never knew they had such great heels!) The meaty-yet-not-chunky-heel and platform made them look pretty comfy as well!
.
I received two great questions from comments yesterday. So here's the scoop:
-vintage pants from this post (middle image) were from the Re-Runs warehouse down in the bottoms in Kansas City. To be honest I saw them on the rack and grabbed them as one of those 'I'll try these on to be goofy and make my fellow shopping buddy giggle' but once they were on... I kind of didn't want to take them off. They're a little out there (this photo doesn't show just how much they balloon) but a unique shape I'm excited to play around with more. No tags to tell me more about them unfortunately! I definitely learned a good lesson to try anything that catches my eye.
.
-And our new house! Some of you might remember a few months ago I posted that Husband and I were designing our own house. As an interior designer and an architect, we had a blast (I'm not sure it always seemed like it at the time) and finished the design - even a set of construction drawings. Getting started building proved to be the hard part. Everyone kept saying that building a house would leave us stressed, behind schedule and over budget. We were all three and hadn't even broken ground. On a whim one afternoon we decided to wander through an open house in the neighborhood we planned to build in... and the rest is history.

While there's a tiny part of me that's sad Husband and I won't get to see our little creation come to life, I know we made the best decision for us. Now we just need to mooooove!

I am so excited for you guys! We are still trying to find a house for us and that is stressful enough. You will have to post some pix when you get all moved in ;)

Awh so exciting! You should put some of your design ideas on your blog!!!

Oh and if you get a second, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out with a new project I'm running. It's a new initiative to give people a place to talk anonymously about things that are bothering them... http://chicknamedhermia.wordpress.com/2010/04/21/secret-stories-update/
