My parents purchased this desk about 20 years ago to match a furniture set my sister and I shared. Hard to call it 'vintage' but its definitely seen a little love. And by love, I mean it spent the last few years in a storage shed getting grimy. And is rumored to have served as a beer bong table for a certain younger brother. Rumors. In need of a vanity, I saw some potential in this guy.
I removed the hardware, vacuumed/cleaned the desk as best I could... and gave it three coats of white spray paint.
.
.
The finish from the spray paint wasn't that smooth or shiny and I worried I'd beat up the top pretty easily. A quick coat of polyurethane added a little jazz/layer of protection.

.And voila...add a mirror (found at River Market Antique Mall) and my great aunt's amazing chair (I'm obsessed with it!) and we're all set for awkward outfit posts!
