insert good black/white title here

.
If you've been a reader for a while you've seen the gazillion images of kitchens with bright white cabinets/walls/everything that I've collected for inspiration.

Of course I moved into a house with all black cabinets. And they're in good shape. So it's hard to pull the trigger and decide if we want to paint them or leave them. One option we've discussed is white on top but leave the black on the bottom. Add in the white subway tile and gray counters and voila.

So excited to find this image on Birch and Bird from Canadian House and Home.

i'm a white cabinet fan as well, but doing something like this is so dramatic & fantastic. i would even say leaving the cabinets black on top also might be just as good.

Its because of your blog that I've come to love white cabinets in a kitchen with dark almost black floors. I really love the contrast. It looks so clean but so comfy and home-y at the same time. :)

I agree with Beth Grace...you've totally won me over too.

That is a lovely kitchen! I have seen several great kitchens with different colors on the bottom and top. I think it would be great contrast.

White on top, black on bottom, white subway tile and gray counters...sounds like perfection to me. Do it!
