handmade quilt : 1

A few months ago somewhere in my brain this little craving started to develop.

I need to make a quilt.

Not your traditional log cabin number. But a modern quilt. Not too modern. Just clean...and with no forest green. Or any color at all for that matter. A clean, cozy gray quilt created from a really great variety of awesome textiles. We're talking non-traditional quilt textiles.

So when you get an itch, scratch it. I'm making a quilt.

I have a sewing machine (inherited complete with the hilarious/adorable 70s instructions guide) and have made a few basic things, but for the most part this will be a learn-as-I-go process. So I'm ready to share every step of the way (in hopes that you can give me input - and advice from you sewers!)
