I lived in Sevilla for a while and Tinto de Verano is the andalucian version of sangria - delicious! Here's the recipe I use:
Equal parts: - Red table wine (any medium bodied wine you would drink alone works fine!) - Sprite or 7-up... or, if you don't like your beverages as sweet - Lime-flavored seltzer water
Mix together and float orangze slices in it! Delish!
Have you ever tried Wine-a-ritas? They are a cross between a margarita and sangria. You combine this mix with your wine of choice. The mix can be purchased at Off the Vine.

I usually don't use a recipe, but I always use boxed wine! (The cheaper the better.) I also try and let it sit overnight if possible.
I just made this white sangria:

Good, but not great. Could've been the wine I used, or maybe it needed more 7-up...not really sure.
But now I'm on a sangria kick. This looks really good, if for nothing other than the reviews:
