sangria


Its official. We're having a sangria party. Any recipes you can recommend?

I usually don't use a recipe, but I always use boxed wine! (The cheaper the better.) I also try and let it sit overnight if possible.

Good, but not great. Could've been the wine I used, or maybe it needed more 7-up...not really sure.

I lived in Sevilla for a while and Tinto de Verano is the andalucian version of sangria - delicious! Here's the recipe I use:

Equal parts:
- Red table wine (any medium bodied wine you would drink alone works fine!)
- Sprite or 7-up... or, if you don't like your beverages as sweet - Lime-flavored seltzer water

Mix together and float orangze slices in it! Delish!

Have you ever tried Wine-a-ritas? They are a cross between a margarita and sangria. You combine this mix with your wine of choice. The mix can be purchased at Off the Vine.
