Husband and I are planning a plane/train/road trip. We're thinking next spring - but its never to early to start planning right?
Thinking we'll fly to New York City and hang out for a few days, then take a train to Boston (catch a Red Sox game and hang for another day or two) and then jump in a rental car and drive up to Maine. Then mosey along the coast North.
Soooo any recommendations along way? Places to see, things to do?

we're planning nearly the exact same 1 year anniversary trip. we'll go at the end of may and fly to NYC and take the train to boston. maine sounds great, too! i don't have recommendations except for NYC.
