blue bird bistro

Husband and I had a date last night at one of my favorite Kansas City restaurants, Blue Bird Bistro. All organic food (and wine!) and a lot of it local. I'm a picky eater, I go in most restaurants and there's like two things on the menu I choose from. Blue Bird is one of the few places where I feel like I have a tough decision in front of me. The proportions are perfect - oh, and if you happen to stop in make sure you try some dessert as well!

Nestled in an 1870s neighborhood on the west side of downtown Kansas City, blue bird bistro is serving upscale organic for the discerning diner. A bright yellow doorway welcomes you inside this 1890s building, full of warmth and comfort, with it’s original high pressed tin ceiling, old drugstore tile flooring and the aroma of savory herbs and spices.
On any given morning you will see local organic farmers making their way to blue bird bistro with fresh produce, all natural meats, free range chickens, cage free eggs and more. Blue bird bistro prides itself on purchasing organic, all natural, sustainable and local. In keeping with their commitment to the environment, blue bird bistro recycles all they can.

I'm a picky eater too. It's lovely to find those restaurants that suit me down to the ground. Having a dilemma choosing is not something I experience often!
