glitter on the horizon

The woman in the grocery store is haunting me.
The false resemblance to you.
Wondering what her life will be like compared to yours.

It's all I could think of on the roof.
Fireworks on the horizon in every direction.

Wondering if that's what you saw.
Wondering what my life will be like compared to yours.

Choosing a person I pass on the street and then imagining what life would be like for them is my favorite pass time when I'm bein' the road warrior all my lonesome.
Nice piece!

I'd love to be able to write this beautifully. Whenever I try all that comes out is bad bad teenage angst stuff. Which would be ok if I was an angst-ridden teenager, but I'm not - I'm 27 and supposedly an adult! x
